The Big Blue Adventure Foundation (BBAF) fulfills its mission by providing strategic “program grants” to Truckee and Tahoe-based non-profit organizations that share a commitment to youth empowerment through transformative experiences. By identifying and funding local partners with similar programs—such as wilderness expeditions, outdoor sports, and environmental education—BBAF ensures its resources directly support young individuals in stepping outside their comfort zones to develop resilience and leadership skills. These donations are specifically designed to make adventure accessible to youth from all backgrounds, fostering a generation of curious leaders who are deeply connected to nature and prepared for the challenges of the future. Through these collaborative grants, BBAF strengthens the local community by investing in established programs that align with its core pillars of personal growth, self-discovery, and outdoor exploration.
